This small power skiff was made for pleasure fishing and crabbing. Although Katie G. was built with an engine, she has the shape of a sailboat. This is apparent in her "tuck stern," where the back of the boat rises out of the water. Later power boats were built with a "box stern," where the full breadth of the back of the boat was immersed.
Built: George Jackson, Wittman, Maryland, c. 1945
