Waters' (Alabama) Battery - Lieutenant Charles W. Watkins.


The Brigade arrived with its Division too late to take part in the first day's battle. It formed early September 20th on this ground as the left of the front line of the Division, with Deas' Brigade on its right and Anderson's in its rear. It advanced with the general line about 11:20 a.m. and encountered the enemy soon after crossing the LaFayette road.
