A leadoff hitter and stalwart defender at second base, Vina played five seasons in Milwaukee and posted a .286 batting average with the club. Holds the distinction of being the Brewers' first National League All-Star after earning recognition in 1998 when he posted a .311 batting average in 722 plate appearances, third-most in the National League also tallied 198 hits, 101 runs, 39 doubles, seven triples and 22 stolen bases that season, and led N.L. second basemen in assists with 468. Finished in his league's top ten in triples in three separate seasons ('96, '98, '99) while with the Brewers. Later won consecutive Gold Gloves in 2001 and 2002 with St. Louis.HM Number | HM2M5C |
