By resolution adopted October 16, 1980. The State Transportation Board of Georgia has recognized thehonorable W. Jones Lane for his yearsof dedicated service and devotion tothe welfare of the people of the State of Georgia and for his supportof the Department of Transportationin its efforts to improve transportation.Said resolution authorizes theerection of this monument designating State Highway 73, U.S. 301, which runsthrough Bulloch County from theBulloch County / Evans Countyline to the Bulloch County / ScrevenCounty line as the" Jones Lane Memorial Highway"
