This rose garden was created to honor Bertha Evans Morgan, wife of J. Robert Morgan, who was a nephew of Jeptha and Minnie Morgan.

Bertha Morgan was a teacher, wife, mother, Clemson University employee and dedicated Christian. Throughout her long life in the Central area she was an avid gardener who, especially, loved roses.
