Greenville County Historic Site

Built in 1938 by the Works Progress
Administration, it was a part of
the largest WPA school project in
the state of South Carolina. The
auditorium was built at a cost of
$50,000 and named for Thomas F. Parker,
local mill executive. The dedication
ceremony was held on March 26, 1940.
