Farmer, Patriot, Public Servant. Cheyney was born and lived at this homestead his entire life. During the Battle of the Brandywine, he warned Gen. Washington of a British flanking movement. As a delegate to Pennsylvania's 1787 convention, he voted to ratify the U.S. Constitution and served 25 years as Justice of the Peace.HM Number | HMSMU |
