Center of Cherokee culture was one mile east on Park Hill Creek; Home of Chief John Ross, Samuel Austin Worcester, Elias Boudinot, other pioneers and The Mission Press which printed millions of pages for the benefit of the Cherokee people. Nearly a century ago. A mile north of Park Hill was the Cherokee Female Seminary and about three miles northwest, the Cherokee Male Seminary. They left their impress on Oklahoma history.
