Built in 1904

Oscar Sullivan built the Hotel and featured the Sullivan Grill and Restaurant. By 1905 the Sullivan had the reputation as one of the finest establishments on the Westside. Many wedding receptions and other special occasions were held at the
"Sullivan".
After the San Francisco earthquake of 1906, Mr. Sullivan closed the hotel to pursue greater profits in the Bay Area. It didn't take long for the Sullivan's to return to the wild, wide-open boomtown called Coalinga.
