Das Wirtshaus "Zum Weissen Kreuz" wird erstmals 1495 in den st?dtischen Akten Luzerns erw?hnt. Am 27. Juni 1495 bezahlte der Luzerner Rat dem "hansen zum wissen kr?tz" Wein. Kein anderes heute noch existierendes Wirtshaus kann eine Erw?hnung bereits im 15. Jahrhundert nachweisen; das Weisse Kreuz ist das ?lteste Wirtshaus der Stadt Luzern, das bis heute unter seinem historischen Namen existiert.

The "At the White Cross" Inn was first mentioned in 1495 in the Lucerne city records. On June 27, 1495 the Lucerne Council paid the "White Cross" for wine. No other still-existing inn can boast such an early mention from the 15th Century; the White Cross is the oldest inn in the city of Lucerne, still existing today under its historic name.
