Commander Penna Troops. Served at Princeton, Brandywine, Germantown and Monmouth. Incensed at the cabal against Washington he wounded General Conway in a duel. Lived nearby and served in General Assembly of Maryland from Kent County. Buried in Shrewsbury Churchyard. His epitaph was written by Thomas Paine.HM Number | HM1EH |
