Three miles west. Reputedly scene of one of last massacres in Ky. McClures and Kennedy's lived on hills above Bullocks pen creek and the Bran family occupied cabin on creek at foot of hills. Around 1805, party of Indians burned the Bran home after scalping parents and children. All died except the mother, who crawled to the Kennedy house. She eventually recovered.
