This photo was taken in 1910 when the Ringling Bros. Circus performers and animals paraded around town. At that time, the circus drew a huge crowd.

This is the intersection of Madison and Washington Avenues looking northwest. Please note the brick streets and the overhead trolley power lines. The New York Store is now the Allen County Historical Society and the buildings in the middle of the block were destroyed by a fire on August 10, 1990.
