"To those who fought for it, life has a special meaning that the protected will never know...". Written on a C-Ration box Khe Sahn RNV 1967 or 68 Unknown U S Warrior Author.

The American Veterans of Foreign Wars - AMVETS - erect this monument to our nation's veterans and to the honor of those who have laid so costly and dear a sacrifice upon the alter of freedom and to remind all Americans to never forget those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

It is a sad day for America when so few remember the so many who fought and those who died to give us our past and to assure our future. and that of our children. Thanks to sacrifices of the American veterans both past and future that have allowed us to live in a free country, we Americans must always keep a strong defense to remain forever free. James R.
