War of 1812 Soldier

—Aug. 1, 1779 - Jan. 11, 1843 —

Lieutenant who first served with the Georgetown Artillary in July 1813, and later under Major George Peter as a Lieut. and Quartermaster from June 19 to July 1, 1814. On Aug. 24, 1814 he helped with the deployment of troops in Bladensburg defending Washington, DC. Later witnessed the bombardment of Fort McHenry.
