Tools of the trade....
Miners on the Yankee Fork started their mining endeavors with gold pans, shovels, rockers and hammers. As mining practices changed, more tools were needed. Varied mining methods, including hydraulic and hard rock, also created a demand for other implements. With better and improved tools, enhanced production and efficiency increased the amount of ore processed and gold recovered. This made the difficult task of mining a little easier and more profitable. Many miners made or invented their own tools, and some even secured patients for their creations.| HM Number | HM22S8 |
