The Etna Chapter of the Independent
Order of Odd Fellow #184 was founded
on January 18, 1871. There were 11
charter members. This brick building
was designed by Louis Fafa and was
built in 1881. The upper floor was used
for lodge meetings of the Odd Fellows,
Rebekahs and other Fraternal
Organizations. The lower floor was used
for a school, post office, store, dance
hall and other community functions.
