from the Star Trek television series.

Flight & Test Orbiter:
First free flight August 12, 1977.
Enterprise was used for the Approach and
Landing test program, making five free flights
in 1977 at Dryden Flight Research Center,
and later as a ground test vehicle at NASA
facilities.
