Republic F-84 The Republic F-84 entered service in 1947 and was withdrawn from service in 1971. It became the Air Force's primary strike aircraft during the Korean War, flying 86,408 missions It was the first aircraft to fly with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds from 1953 until 1956. This F-84F 25-RE (S/N 51-1748) swept wing version entered service in 1954.
