Manufactured in 1901, and originally estimated to cost about $1200, the Greenleaf/Jacobs Clock was said "to be the handsomest of its kind in the South..." Although street clocks have been erected in other American cities, none compare to this superbly aged and ornate timepieces. Standing over fifteen feet tall, it has long provided a touch of sophistication to the Jacksonville street scene.
It has been restored to its original beauty with the financial support of the following benefactors:
