Considered by many to be the greatest baseball player ever. Retired as all-time home run king with 755 career round-trippers. Continues to hold the Major League record for career runs batted in (2,297), extra base hits (1,477), and total bases (6,856). Ranks third all-time in hits (3,771) and tied for fourth all-time in runs (2,174). Named an All-Star for 21 consecutive seasons (1955-1975). Slugged pennant-clinching home run in each of Braves' World Series Seasons. Won N.L. MVP honors in 1957. First player to reach both 500 home runs and 3,000 hits.
