Parks Hall (later called Park Hall) was the first land grant in the area that was to become Washington County. This 1550 acre tract was surveyed September 9, 1731, and patented to William Parks on November 24, 1732. It included the land on which Rohrersville and Gapland were later built. The one-room, early 20th century Park Hall School nearby was located on the northern part of this tract.
