Built by Saint M. Katharine Drexel, S.B.S., Philadelphia heiress (1858-1955). Here she conducted a "select free colored school" for black children and served the Carlisle Indian School. She vowed to be "mother and servant of the Indian and Negro races."HM Number | HMCSF |
