(El Senador Mine)
This mine was opened in 1863 and worked intermittently until March 1926. In 1915 a reduction plant, which included the first Herreschoff furnace and electric dust collector ever used in the recovery of quicksilver, was erected. The mine was worked to the 1,300 foot level and produced 20,000 flasks of quicksilver.HM Number | HMMTS |
