Unity, a non denominational Church, was founded in Long Beach by the Reverends Louise and John Samuel Newman in 1923. A grass roots fundraising campaign led to the purchase of this site in 1933. Construction began in 1941. Architecture was inspired by traditional Mediterranean and Romanesque sources. The Church was dedicated on October 21, 1941.HM Number | HM1DOV |
