His vision changed the face of St. Louis. Strauss' accomplishments included the restoration of the Fox Theatre with his wife Mary and Fox associates, the development of DeBaliviere Place and Kingsbury Square and a deep commitment to the Saint Louis Symphony.

This monument stands in Grand Center as a tribute by a grateful city to keep Leon Strauss forever close to its heart.
