32nd Alabama, - Major John C. Kimbell.
13th and 20th Louisiana, - Colonel Randall Lee Gibson.
16th and 25th Louisiana, - Colonel Daniel Gober.
19th Louisiana, - Lieutenant Colonel Richard W. Turner.
14th Louisiana Battalion, - Major J. H. Austin.
Slocomb's (Louisiana) Battery, - Captain C. H. Slocomb.


Adam's Brigade reached this position from its bivouac some 400 yards east of this point about 9:30 a.m., moving with its Division in line of battle. Helm's Brigade on the left of the Division struck the Union log-works. Adams' Brigade on the right, and Stovall's Brigade in the center, encountered John Beatty's Brigade in the vicinity of the McDonald place. Adams' Brigade after dispersing the troops in its front, crossed the LaFayette road at McDonald's and wheeled so as to face south. Stovall's Brigade halted at the road. Having driven that portion of Beatty's troops confronting it across it, and formed on the left of Adams facing south. Only half of Helm's Brigade reached the LaFayette road.
